Getting Here

Little Cayman is only accessible by air, there are no ferry services. Cayman Airways offer multiple flights per day from Grand Cayman. The flight aboard a twin-otter takes approximately 30 minutes.

Getting Around

Bicycles are available to guests free of charge and can be used to visit most points of interest. Car hire is available on the island and scooters are available for rent from November to June.

Limited Services

Little Cayman is a tiny island with a population of just 160 residents, resulting in limited services. There is no hospital; only a small clinic is available. You’ll find a modest grocery store near the airport and a single ATM. While most establishments accept credit cards, it's wise to carry some cash.

Bug Spray: Mosquitoes and no-see-ums can be bothersome, especially at dusk. Reef-Safe Sunscreen: Protect the coral reefs while staying sun-safe. Dry Bags & Water Shoes: Useful for kayaking and beach exploring.

The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory, and therefore a valid passport is required when traveling from the USA.

The Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD) is the local currency, however, the US Dollar (USD) is also widely accepted. The CI dollar is pegged to the US dollar at a rate of $1.00 USD = $0.82 KYD. If paying in USD, you will receive change back in KYD so it is advised to use larger bills at the beginning of your stay.

The Cayman Islands has only one time zone, which is Eastern Standard Time (EST), and does not observe daylight saving.

The Cayman Islands run on a 120 volt electricity system with three-pin plugs. However, outlets can accommodate a two-pin American plug.

There are two cell carriers in the Cayman Islands – Digicel and Flow, including 4G and 5G technology. Your phone will likely work in the Cayman Islands, but you’ll need to enable international roaming through your carrier. There is WiFi available at The Club and next door Little Cayman Beach Resort.

In Blossom Village there is a small grocery store, liquor store and gas pump. The supply of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, meats, and baked good varies greatly and depends on the weekly arrival of the supply barge – weather permitting.
